Many years ago, after I had left ConversionXL and started at Shopify, I was asked to run the Shopify Plus blog.

One thing I wanted to make sure I could avoid in running this publication was endless edits of “Yes, this is good, but we would say it like this…”

Moreover, I wanted to give our authors the soul of the publication. This informed how we wrote and who we hired. I have referenced The Code many times, but this is the first time I’ve ever published it in full. Below, you will find an embedded version of the exact copy of The Code which laid the foundation for how Shopify Plus communicated in the market in its earliest days.
